Hollywood
See where the stars go to light up the screen. Stroll the Walk of Fame and find more than 2,500 terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard. Outside the TCL Chinese Theatre is where you will find roughly 200 cement blocks with celebrity signatures, footprints, and handprints from the 1920s to the present day. Tour the theatre, which opened in 1927, for a look at the iconic landmark that best represents the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
Beaches
Head to the coast to see what California living is all about. Venice Beach, Newport Beach, and Santa Monica Pier and Beach offer expansive coastal views, great people-watching, thrilling entertainment, and superb food, especially from the numerous food trucks lining the streets.

Diners who come to LA should plan to sample a little bit of everything. A global city with diverse cuisine and locally sourced food can make for an adventure in food heaven. Parks and Hiking
Despite its urban expanse, there are several great parks for hiking, having a picnic, or simply enjoying time with friends and family. Griffith Park is one of the biggest parks in California and is ideal for hiking the rugged natural area. There’s an observatory in the park that hosts exhibitions and features a planetarium as well. For more great views — and maybe a celebrity sighting or two — head to Runyon Canyon a few blocks off Hollywood Boulevard.
Nightlife
Find popular LA nightlife spots along Sunset Strip or in Downtown. While in Anaheim, Downtown Disney® offers everything from live outdoor entertainment to bars and nightclubs, and coastal towns like Newport Beach provide trendy bar scenes, waterfront views, and plenty of places to relax with a craft beer or cocktail.
Shopping
If shopping is your thing, LA is the place to be. Large shopping malls dominate the landscape. The Grove, which is next to the famous Farmers Market (founded in 1934), is a huge shopping complex with stores to suit every shopper. Enjoy open-air shopping at the Third Street Promenade, or stroll Rodeo Drive to see exclusive stores such as Gucci, Versace, and Cartier.
