Cancun
What began as small fishing village, Cancun is one of Mexico’s first planned vacation destinations and is now the most popular vacation destination in Mexico. Cancun owes its popularity to spectacular weather, a plethora of superb shopping and dazzling nightlife, and a host of beautiful beachfront resorts. Some cater to families, some to adults only, and many are all-inclusive resorts. |
Cozumel
Once a sacred island dotted with Mayan temples and shrines, the Cozumel today is revered by scuba divers and snorkelers for its underwater beauty, including the largest underwater reef in the northern hemisphere which features a kaleidoscope of marine life. Cozumel also boasts the Chankanaab National Park where Mayan ruins, sandy beaches, and waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving can all be enjoyed in one fun-filled day. Away from the water, Cozumel is a laid-back escape from the hectic day-to-day with lovely resorts, a charming downtown, and warm sunshine. |

Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo
Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo, although just four miles apart, offer two distinctly different Mexico vacation experiences, so make sure to choose a hotel in the area that fits your vacation style. Both destinations are more laid-back than many other places in Mexico, making them the ideal spot for a relaxing beach vacation. But away from their golden-sand beaches, they are each unique. |
Los Cabos
Los Cabos is actually made up of three areas, spanning 20 miles from the town of San Jose del Cabo, a traditional and tranquil 200-year-old town, to Cabo San Lucas, lively and luxurious with superlative shopping and nightlife. In between is the “Corridor”, bordered by the sapphire waters of the Sea of Cortez, dotted with expansive and elegant all-inclusive resorts, with a long, walkable beach in between. Each area has its own vibe, so be sure to choose the area that will make your Mexico vacation your best vacation. |

Mazatlan
Mazatlan must be doing something right, as vacationers have been returning to it’s welcoming atmosphere for years. Young adults love the options for fun and festivities, and seasoned travelers like that Mazatlan is less crowded than other Mexican resort areas. Food lovers enjoy the endless variations of shrimp on restaurant menus and those who love the comforts of home can find a great burger, along with a cold beer. For lovers of sun and sand, all-inclusive resorts provide all you need, so you hardly ever have to leave your lounge chair. And for those who can’t sit still, take a tour into the mountains, stroll along cobblestone streets in the historic colonial downtown, try your hand at ocean fishing or paddle boarding, play and party at the bars and nightclubs along the Malecon, or partake in one of the largest Mardi Gras celebrations outside of New Orleans. |
Puerto Vallarta
The Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit area is comprised of several different “hotel zones”. Starting south of downtown Puerto Vallarta, there are several hotels, tucked away on secluded beaches, and just a short taxi ride from downtown. Going north, you get into the beachfront city of Puerto Vallarta, with its Romantic Zone at the heart and Hotel Zone just to the north. Here you’ll find the highest concentration of restaurants, bars, and shops — and most of it is within walking distance. Going north along Banderas Bay, into Riviera Nayarit from the Marina and beyond, most resorts are large, all-inclusive, and all-encompassing, offering everything you could wish for in a Mexico vacation destination. Riviera Nayarit also boasts miles and miles of beach and more than six championship golf courses. |
